Helping new hires successfully navigate the first 90 days in a new role

Starting a new role is an adventure full of possibilities
It's normal for new hires to feel a bit nervous, but an onboarding specialist can provide them with a space to explore any challenges that may arise during the transition, the tools and strategies they need to succeed, and guidance to navigate their first 90 days with confidence and ease.
Why hire an onboarding specialist?
The first six weeks after hiring are a crucial time, when up to 20% of employee turnover happens.

A study developed by talent solutions firm Robert Half and conducted by an independent research company between December 2017 and January 2018 found that of the 9,000 jobseekers surveyed in 11 countries, 36% would consider leaving in their first month due to a lack of proper onboarding.
Across the UK, over a quarter (27%) of UK employees actually opted to leave their job during their probation period for this reason.

An effective onboarding process is crucial for new hire success.
It helps new hires feel valued and appreciated, understand their role and responsibilities, and increases their productivity and performance.
This leads to higher engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction, which is essential in a competitive talent market.

How it works
I offer a structured approach that includes a pre-meet with the new hire before their start date, one session during their first week and then four subsequent check-ins at fortnightly intervals. These one-to-one coaching sessions are designed to ensure that the new hire feels supported and equipped to succeed in their new role.

Learning the ropes
Starting a new job can be a daunting experience for new employees. That's why support provided during the first few weeks is crucial to help them feel confident in their roles. Research shows that happy employees are more likely to stay and perform better, so effective onboarding leads to higher employee satisfaction and retention.

Strategies for success
I am dedicated to aiding our clients in seamlessly adapting to their new roles. I use proven tools and a personalised approach to help new hires settle in to their new environments with confidence and ease.
6 Cs framework
Compliance, Clarification, Confidence, Connection, Culture and Checkback

The 6 C’s framework was developed through years of research by Talya Bauer, PhD. In 2010, Bauer wrote a professional practices whitepaper for the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), where she laid out a number of best practices are based on years of research, consulting, and observation of onboarding. The original 4 C’s framework has since evolved, with the 6 C’s version from 2022 including ongoing checkback. The components can be envisioned as stacked in a pyramid, and although each is important, the higher up the scale, the more effective the onboarding becomes.

Performance consulting is an essential aspect of any successful onboarding process. By identifying and addressing performance gaps early on, new employees can quickly become productive members of the team.
